The Drawing Room
The Drawing Room, located next to Lillian's Restaurant, was built around 132 years ago. The Drawing Room was declared a National Monument in 2019 as it was the first educational institution on the current UTech Campus and one of the first institutions to be established after the Hope Estate was sold to the Jamaican Government. The building once housed the 1891 Boys Industrial School at Hope, an institution offering education to wards of the State (Jamaica National Heritage Trust, 2019). The Drawing Room is now used as a classroom and a venue to host campus events. a
